It’s time for tricks, treats and trains at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad!

The Railroad is a safe place to enjoy the festive Halloween events, so bring the kids and ride aboard this 45 minute spooky fun Trick or Treat Train Excursion. Children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes, helping to make the train a child friendly scary sight.
Enjoy the ride while participating in the reading of Spookley the Square Pumpkin children’s book combined with fun and cheerful songs. Afterwards, trick or treat around the New Hope train station for more surprises!
Trick or Treat bags, assorted trinkets and candy will be given out onboard as well as at the station!
All ages are welcome!

    The Trick or Treat train operates on select dates from October 12th thru Halloween (October 31st), with trains departing at 6:15 PM.

    Enjoy a 45 minute long excursion pulled by the New Hope Railroad’s vintage Diesel Locomotives.

    Trick or Treat bags and assorted candy will be given out onboard as well as at the station!

For a more private and upscale setting, our First Class upgrade will reserve a place for you in one of our luxuriously appointed, climate controlled parlor car, that has been restored to its original turn of the century splendor. Guests will be seated at a table in their own individual parlor style chair. One complimentary non-alcoholic beverage is included with each First Class Fare.

Coach Class seating features vintage heated passenger cars built between 1913 & 1935. Bench-style seats are comfortably padded with high backs creating a perfect setting for families, or large groups.

Every effort will be made to seat groups as close together as possible on the train. Please let us know your needs prior to boarding.

Important Information:

  • e-Ticket sales close 10 minutes prior to departure for this excursion.
  • Advance reservations are recommended, but not required.
  • If you have a reservation, your e-Ticket will be scanned as you board the train. You may also purchase e-tickets at the gift shop up to 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. If you forget your e-Ticket, we can print them for you, subject to verification.
  • e-Tickets are attached to your e-mail receipt and sent after purchase is complete.
  • e-Tickets must be presented to a train crew member prior to boarding the train.
  • e-Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable and will not be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed.

Schedules are adhered to as closely as possible, but the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad reserves the right, without liability and notice, to cancel and/or otherwise modify the schedule, fares, times, dates, routing, motive power, equipment and/or seat selection on any excursion, train and/or event whenever, in its judgement, circumstances warrant. You will be notified if a change in schedule or motive power affects your reservation. The railroad is not responsible for lack of sufficient capacity or adverse weather conditions that prevent operations. There are a limited number of e-Tickets available for each day during this event. If you have not pre-purchased tickets, please call 215-862-2332 before coming, as tickets may not be available. e-Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable and will not be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed. All excursions, trains and events are subject to availability. Boarding by class of ticket may occur. e-Tickets must be presented to a train crew member prior to boarding the train for validation purposes. Payment in full at booking by major credit card is required to finalize a reservation. You may not reschedule a reservation after the scheduled departure, no exceptions.

You agree that the TRICK OR TREAT event (the “Event”) for which you purchased tickets and/or attended is a public event, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the Event occurs are public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the Event. You hereby irrevocably grant permission to the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad and/or their assigns to use, copy, display, distribute, exhibit and utilize your name, image, digital image, likeness, acts, poses, voice, appearance, movements and statements in any live or recorded audio, video or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction of same, including at the Event (regardless of whether before, during or after the Event) for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or hereafter developed without further authorization from or any compensation to you or anyone acting or entitled to act on your behalf.
